New Mobile MRI Unit Arrives August 21 – Referrals Now Being Accepted
Mayers Memorial Healthcare District (MMHD) is excited to announce the launch of a new local MRI service, eliminating the need for patients to travel out of the area for advanced imaging. Beginning
Thursday, August 21, 2025, a mobile MRI unit will be on-site at Mayers every other Thursday, with additional days planned in the future based on community need.
“This is a big win for our rural community,” said Ryan Harris, CEO at MMHD. “We know the challenges that come with having to travel for care. This new service will allow our patients to get the diagnostic imaging they need without the added burden of long drives, time away from work, or the stress of arranging transportation.”
The mobile MRI service will provide high-quality imaging for a variety of medical needs, offering physicians faster access to critical diagnostic information. Referrals for MRI appointments are currently being accepted, and providers can fax referrals to
