• "The local branch of Tri Counties Bank has made a donation to the Mayers Memorial Hospital District Obstetrics/Newborn department. "Pink" and "blue" piggy banks will be given to mommies for their newborn baby girl or boy to take home," said Randi Holscher, RN, Med-Surg (Acute Care) Manager. Local support of the businesses in the Intermountain area has been substantial and continues to be a shining example of the community giving back to the hospital.

• Randi Holscher, RN, Med-Surg (Acute Care) Manager reported that two (2) new registered nurse (RN) graduates will be starting December 2008 but no later than January 2009. "We can use the staff. There will also be four (4) or five (5) registered nurses currently on staff that will be taking the mobile intensive care nurse (MICN) certification program. This will be significant in the care of emergency room patients, obstetric and any patient requiring emergency room care," she said.
