In collaboration with Mayers Memorial Hospital professional and technical service departments, the nursing staff provides 24-hour skilled nursing services to residents in two (2) locations. Fall River Mills SNF has 50 Medicare skilled nursing and long-term care skilled nursing care beds. The Burney Campus facility has 28 skilled nursing/long term beds and a separate 21 bed Alzheimer’s Dementia Care Unit (ADCU).
At both facilities residents are in a secure, caring environment with friendly and courteous staff, which knows the needs and likes of each resident. Individualized tailored menus and nutritional plans are developed to meet each resident's needs and special requests. A broad range of group activities schedule throughout the week such as regularly scheduled visits by local schools, volunteers, church and civic organizations. The Activities Department also plans a daily schedule of varied and interesting activities and events to keep residents involved and enjoying themselves. These include community events, outings, board games, movies, holiday parties, pet therapy; courtyard walks in an enclosed courtyard with attractive landscaping and musical events. Monthly birthday parties are much anticipated by residents. Weekly beauty shop appointments are a lively group on Friday mornings.
Twenty-four-hour care services are provided to residents requiring SNF admission. As required by State and Federal regulations, residents will receive a minimum of 3.2 hours of care per resident day. There is an RN scheduled at least eight consecutive hours daily, seven days a week. Additionally both facilities have accessibility to 24-hour emergency and acute care services.
